Monmouth Park and Caesars are set to open a state-of-the-art sportsbook and entertainment complex in 2025, marking a new era in sports betting.

In 2018, New Jersey embraced sports gambling, with Governor Murphy placing the state’s first legal bet. Now, Monmouth Park and Caesars are set to revolutionize the industry with a trackside sportsbook and entertainment complex, opening in 2025.

The groundbreaking ceremony held on May 7 marked the start of this ambitious project. The complex will boast 16,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor sports viewing, Shake Shack delicacies, and over 25 self-service betting kiosks.

Dan Shapiro, Caesars Digital SVP and Chief Development Officer, expressed pride in investing in Monmouth Park. He emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing the sports betting experience for New Jersey sports fans.

Monmouth Park made history in 2018 by accepting the first legal in-person sports wager in New Jersey. Following the acquisition of William Hill by Caesars, the sportsbook rebranded to a Caesars Sportsbook location in early 2022.

Dennis Drazin, Chairman and CEO of Darby Development, LLC, which operates Monmouth Park, expressed excitement about the upcoming opening of the new Caesars Sportsbook at Monmouth Park. He highlighted the state-of-the-art facilities that the sportsbook will offer to patrons.

Sports gambling in New Jersey, legalized in June 2018, has seen tremendous growth, with the state reporting a total gaming revenue of $526.6m for March alone.
