The River City is about to get a taste of the world’s fastest-growing sport: Park Padel, a Bay Area-based company, has announced plans to open a four-court padel center just steps away from Sutter Health Park.

The new facility, expected to open this fall, will be located in the Bridge District, a vibrant neighborhood known for its proximity to the Sacramento River. “We’re thrilled to bring Park Padel to West Sacramento,” said Jessica Talbert, co-founder of Park Padel. “Padel is a social, fast-paced game, and we can’t wait for people in the area to experience it in this beautiful new location.”
Padel, a hybrid of tennis and squash, has gained immense popularity worldwide since the COVID-19 pandemic. With its smaller court and use of walls, the game offers a unique and exciting experience for players of all levels.
The West Sacramento facility will feature outdoor courts with shaded lounge areas and a workout space. It will also be conveniently located near Drake’s Barn, a popular outdoor tap house.
Park Padel’s West Sacramento location is the latest addition to the area’s growing sports scene. The facility will be just a short walk from Birdies Social Club, a new restaurant featuring golf simulator bays, and is also near the future home of the Oakland Athletics.
As the sport continues to gain momentum, Park Padel is poised to become a hub for padel enthusiasts in the Sacramento region.
